Hoffman’s head of Christ

For all those who wonder if someone might have carnally fallen in love with Jesus, please read the following:

Isaiah 53:1-5

1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.

3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Let’s summarize: He had no good looks, a bad reputation, no money and was under investigation for some criminal accusations whereby He would be sentenced to death. Followers of this man await the same treatment; it is no wonder that the disciple (later on Apostle) Peter denied Him (Joh. 18:17-18, 25-26) but what love drove Peter to also accept to be beaten and suffer for the same Jesus he first denied (Acts 5:14-20, 22-25, 26-33, 40-42)? As we read “there is no beauty that we should desire him” but who has believed that report… Not the unbeliever.

What was the purpose of Jesus’ life; What did his Forerunner John the Baptist say about him?

John 1:29-36

29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
30 This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.
32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

Jesus did nothing unless the Father told him, and what the father did he did do likewise.

Now you can see where you end up when you try to explain scripture with a lack of revelation.

Let’s make a drama. I cannot find any scripture where Jesus has been told to be fertile and increase, I only know Jesus did as He was told by the Father.

John 5:19-20

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 5:22-23

For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
That all [men] should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:30-32

I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.

Luke 22:42

Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Luke 24:25-27

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

So now how can you change the purpose of Jesus’ life without changing what the Father did, what the Father told Jesus to do, what Jesus’ Forerunner said, what all the prophets said about Jesus and what Jesus himself said about what the purpose of his life was? All fictitiously constructed fables about scripture do not rhyme with scripture as you have concluded for yourself.

Remember that Satan also took what God said, which was the truth, injected a little lie into it and presented it to the wife of Adam. She assumed it to be the full truth because it really looked as 100% truth.  There is a way that seemeth right unto man but the end thereof…..
